Set of 19th Century Bergere Chairs
A beautiful pair of 19th century French upholstered bergere chairs. The frames are handpainted. The color is a grey, blue with a worn patina. The paint is set well and not chipping. Both chairs are upholstered in a red/cinnamon damask Scalamandre fabric. The fabric is in perfect condition. They were purchased from Jacqueline Adams in Atlanta, There is no pet use. All of the welting is clean and in tact. Originally paid much more for the pair. The exterior dimensions of the chair are 33" wide. 39" tall and 33.5" in depth. The interior dimensions of the seat are 24" wide and 25" deep from the front of the back cushion to the knee bend. The depth of the cushion is 5".
