NIERMANN WEEKS CAMPAIGN PROTOTYPE
The owner has been in contact with the children of Joe Niermann of Niermann - Weeks. His children viewed the photos and listened to the back story and said most likely this was one of his original prototypes for his business, based upon the antique French chandeliers his wife bought in New Orleans. The original Memphis prototypes are worth far more than the mass made Niermann Weeks chandeliers produced today. It has a rustic finish with mixed metals. All of the crystals are included. The first picture is of the actual piece you would be buying. The other is a newer mass produced similar piece. It measures 110"H from bottom of base to the ceiling. It has 6 lights. It measures 27.75"W. The new one would retail for over $4500. Being an original hand made prototype by Niermann it would sell for signifigantly more. It does not have the company stamp but that wasn't added to their pieces until much later. The last pictures show the actual patina on the iron and the different materials he chose and the crystal shapes.
