DUNCAN PHYFE MAHOGONY SOFA
This Duncan Phyfe sofa dates from 1910-1950. It is made of walnut and is pristine condition. It is a rare example with its original brass feet. It has an eagle carved into the pediment. It also has ornate carvings on the base, legs and arms. It has been recently reupholsterd in black and cream Schumacher "Deconstructed Stripe" fabric. It measures 90"W, 34.5"H, 23"D seat and 18"H seat. The arms measure 28.5"H. The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC did a retrospective of Duncan Phyfe furniture in 1922.
